Administrative Assistant

The Yellowstone Premier League was founded in June 2020 with the idea to bring together developmentally appropriate modeled soccer clubs. Yellowstone Premier League agreed to form their own league based on a simple concept that included three main features:

1. Superior Competition

2. A Model for Player Development and

3. A Governing Board made up of Professional Soccer Directors.

The YPL is based on the philosophy that the player is a member of the club as well as a member of the team and that successful clubs develop players and teams from within rather than through recruitment.

General Overview: Yellowstone Premier League (YPL) is an organization created to provide sporting activities and opportunities for young people, regardless of race, religion, or economic status, in urban communities. Yellowstone Premier League will design and implement youth soccer programs with academic and social standards that will develop young people into well-rounded members of our community.

Job Description

  • Administration Assistant will oversee and manage all communications and administration of the league, including but not limited to, communication and administration of all schedules, posting of schedules, website updates, social media platforms and all events. More specifically, the candidate will work collaboratively with the Executive Director and other employees to identify, plan, and manage key strategic communication and administration initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

• Execute, on average, 40 hours per week. The candidate understands the YPL has seasonal needs and some weekly hours may be less and other weekly hours may be more.

  • flexible hours; primary remote work. Be on-site for all YPL events.
  • Manage the communications & administration of all current, and other events launched by the league.
  • Develop and deliver a direct communications strategy to achieve retention.
  • Market the YPL via website, social media promotions, newsletters, direct and interactive marketing, and events.
  • Define and develop communications and promotions to execute successful newsletters, messages, banners, etc.
  • Incorporate the use of videos, online content, photos, etc. to enhance the league website/social media presence/engagement.
  • Develop relationships between the YPL and all local, regional, and national media organizations.
  • Manage communications of strategic partners to the YPL via newsletter, social media, etc.
  • The YPL Administration Assistant may coach travel teams, ODP or equivalent, or other upon request.

Skills and Specifications

• Proficiency with WordPress, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva. Experience with design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and all Social Media platforms or be open to learning those platforms.

  • Strong interpersonal, excellent communication skills and solid project management skills. Self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings during events and when in seasonal play. Some travel required to cover special events locally, regionally and nationally. Travel reimbursements. Coaching education reimbursements.

Education and Qualifications

  • Must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Significant advantage to a candidate that understands youth, collegiate and professional soccer.
