Cody, Wyoming - As the Yellowstone Premier League (YPL) continues to evolve and grow its mission of providing elite competition and life-changing opportunities for youth players across the region, we are excited to share a bold new chapter in our journey.
For the 2025-2026 season, YPL will pause regular league operations and shift its full focus to support and collaborate with the Miami 2026 Youth World Cup—a groundbreaking international event that brings together some of the most talented youth soccer players from around the globe.
A Global Opportunity for YPL Clubs
The Miami 2026 Youth World Cup will serve as a pinnacle platform for competition, connection, and culture. By aligning our efforts with this prestigious event, YPL clubs, players, and families will gain direct access to:
High-level international competition
Global scouting visibility
Unique cultural experiences
Once-in-a-lifetime memories on and off the field
YPL clubs will have the opportunity to participate directly in the event or support players selected for our YPL Pursuit program representing the Yellowstone region in International Competition.
No Regular League Schedule, But a Major Step Forward
While there will be no traditional Yellowstone Premier League matches for the 2025-2026 season, this temporary pause is an intentional and strategic move. It allows our teams and staff to concentrate fully on elevating the player experience through the Youth World Cup, while also opening doors to deeper international relationships and talent identification pathways.
A Powerful Collaboration
YPL’s role in the Youth World Cup will include:
Hosting Regional Qualifiers and Group Stage play
Supporting club team entries and YPL select squads
Organizing travel, scouting showcases, and pre-tournament experiences
Collaborating with tournament staff to deliver a world-class event
This collaboration represents more than just a schedule change, but it’s a massive step forward in our vision of developing players ready to compete on the biggest stages.
